After falling in love with Ben & Lauren on the Bachelor, I was a bit scared to watch their new reality show on Free Form. Was I going to absolutely hate them once they were off the show? They did decide to go the reality tv route, maybe they weren't as down to earth and authentic as I had hoped.
Boy, was I wrong.
I instantly fell in love with these two all over again. The first episode starts with a recap of their love story and a clip of Lauren saying that she didn't really want to be at JoJo's AFR. They then show clips of them in the grocery store being bombarded with questions, rapping in the car, binge watching the Bachelorette, and Lauren replacing the toilet with the help of Haley & Emily (aka the twins).
Lauren becomes more and more likable as the show episode progresses. She's relatable and the type of person practically everyone wants as a best friend. Ben agrees to lunch with JoJo and her new fiancee and you can feel Lauren's anxiety through the screen. Who wouldn't be freaked out about going to lunch with the other woman that your fiancee said he was in love with just a year before? Yikes!
Ben is still as likable as ever, but the not asking Lauren how she feels about things before accepting will probably lead to some problems down the line.
I'm excited to see how the season pans out! You can watch Ben & Lauren Happily Ever After?
Tuesdays at 8 PM on Free Form and you can follow along at @benandlaurentv on Twitter. Be sure to use the hashtag #benandlauren since they like to tweet along live with the show!
